Oak Lawn Illinois Falls into Winter
By
Last week I took a walk with my son and grandkids since I figured it might be the last nice day to get out and walk outdoors (I hate the cold). I think I was right.
It’s still Fall but looking outside it appears to be a cold winter day as the snow is lingering from two days ago. Of course, I got the worried call from Mom (in Gilroy, CA), asking me if we were “snowed in.” I assured her that we weren’t and the streets were fine.
Someone told her our area got such heavy snowfall we couldn’t leave our homes! If you read my prior post about bad storm damage, you’ll note that Mom didn’t call me then.
I am not waiting for winter (why should I – it’s already here). In fact, I dislike cold weather and snow and slush. But it will arrive this month and I can only count down the days until Spring and back to my favorite season, summer.
